SAFFORD — While the Graham County Chamber of Commerce didn’t get everything it asked for from the City of Safford during budget talks, it is getting a facilities improvement.
On Thursday, the city posted an invitation to bid on replacement of the roof of the Chamber building.
The successful bidder will be required to remove the existing 3,765-square-foot roof that is upward of 30 years old, and replace it with a roof with a two-year contractor warranty and a 20-year materials warranty.
The city owns the building and has budgeted $100,000 for the project. The deadline to submit a bid is June 15.
