Expect temporary driveway restrictions starting Aug. 24

GLOBE – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 from U.S. Highway 60 to just east of State Route 77 for roadway improvements:
• East- and westbound U.S. Highway 70 lane restrictions between mileposts 252 and 255 nightly from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday beginning Aug. 10
Motorists and businesses should also plan for driveway restrictions along U.S. Highway 70 east of Globe beginning Aug. 24 as crews apply a micro seal to the road. Drivers can expect:
- East- and westbound lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 between mileposts 252 and 255 nightly from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, starting Aug. 24 through early September.
- The micro seal will require a 40-minute to an hour closure at driveways and other access points to allow the application to cure.
Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down, and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
