WILLCOX – An overnight serious collision involving a semi-truck damaged the bridge at the U.S. Highway 191 South intersection with Interstate 10 west of Willcox early Wednesday morning.

Both directions of I-10 were closed after a semi-truck crashed into the bridge’s pillar, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Eastbound I-10 has reopened, but the westbound lanes remain closed due to structural damage from the bridge. Highway 191 is also closed at the intersection.
For those traveling to Tucson from Safford, you can either go west to Globe and through Oracle or go east into New Mexico and south through Bisbee.
