SAFFORD — Arizona Blood and Cancer has notified Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Cancer Center and patients that it will no longer visit Safford beginning June 1.  The change is due to a shortage of oncologists to meet the needs of ABC’s primary market of Tucson

In a prepared statement, MGRMC officials said the hospital “is committed to maintaining and growing oncology services and is working diligently to contract with another oncology group of providers to serve our patients.”

Until that time, MGRMC is continuing referrals for service to ABC until the hospital can switch to another oncology group.

Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center patients who have any questions should call the hospital’s community relations team at 928-348-3777. Information and updates may also be found at www.mtgraham.org/update.
