SAFFORD — Now would be a good time to pay off those late fees at the library.
On Wednesday, the Safford City-Graham County Library announced the fee it charges to anyone sent to collection for unpaid debt will increase from $10 to $12.
The change goes into effect Jan. 2.
The library also announced a change in its log-in system for accounts that require a password.
Instead of using a library card number, the authentication will be the last four digits of a user’s telephone number.
The change applies to library account access, the CloudLibrary, Libby magazines and for computer use within the library.
