SAFFORD, Ariz. (July 1, 2026) — The Southeast Arizona Teachers’ Academy (SEATA) 2026 has concluded successfully, according to the Graham County School Superintendent’s office. The event, hosted at Eastern Arizona College, welcomed 180 educators and 47 presenters from Graham and Greenlee counties, offering a diverse range of professional development sessions at no cost to attendees.
The week-long academy featured 90 new sessions covering topics from Pre-K to high school education, including English Language Arts, personal finance, mathematics, classroom management, STEM, personal growth, AI, technology integration, and brain research. The program aimed to provide high-quality, proven best practices to educators regardless of their subject matter or grade level.
Organizers expressed gratitude to Eastern Arizona College for hosting the event and making educators feel welcome, as well as to the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties for their generous support. Feedback from participants highlighted the value and enthusiasm surrounding the academy.
The Graham County School Superintendent’s office encourages educators to save the date for SEATA 2027, scheduled for June 7-10, 2027.
