THATCHER, Ariz. (Aug. 29, 2026) — The Girl Scouts of Graham and Greenlee Counties are hosting a special event to recognize and celebrate First Responders with a fun-filled day. The event, titled “Rise and Recognize,” will take place on August 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Thatcher Park. Community members are invited to join in the festivities, which will include team relays and games where First Responders will be teamed up with Girl Scouts. There will also be various activities for all attendees to enjoy throughout the day. Food and refreshments will be available, featuring Finches Shiver Shack offering cold treats and Nanas Kitchenette providing lunch options. Additionally, Our Neighbors Pantry will be present to share information and collect donations.
