SAFFORD, Ariz. — Valley TeleCom is proud to announce the launch of its Community Support Programs through the Valley Telephone Foundation, aimed at empowering rural communities across southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. The foundation supports educators, students, and community organizations with award programs designed to strengthen learning, opportunity, and quality of life.
The Valley Telephone Foundation is committed to investing in the future of rural communities by providing strategic funding in education, youth development, and community enhancement. The foundation offers three main funding programs:
- Classroom Champion Program: Grants up to $1,000 to support rural educators with classroom resources that spark curiosity and improve learning.
- Educational Experience Program: Grants up to $5,000 to fund field trips, STEM experiences, and enrichment activities that expand learning beyond the classroom.
- Community Enrichment Program: Grants up to $10,000 to support permanent community improvement projects that enhance quality of life.
These programs are available to communities in Arizona including Apache, Bonita, Bowie, Clifton, Cochise, Duncan, Elfrida, McNeil, Morenci, Patagonia, Pearce, Portal, Safford, San Simon, Sunizona, Sunsites, Thatcher, Tombstone, Willcox, and York Valley; and in New Mexico including Animas, Columbus, Cotton City, Hachita, Playas, Rodeo, and Virden.
