Fort Thomas heads to Patagonia

SAINT DAVID – The No. 10 Duncan Wildkats (5-4 region) visit No. 7 Saint David (8-1) on Monday, April 28. It is a region contest and the regular season finale for both teams.

The other remaining region game has No. 16 Fort Thomas (2-7) at No. 21 Patagonia (0-9). Valley Union (9-1) and Baboquivari (4-6) have completed their region schedules.

South Region standings through April 24 have Elfrida Valley Union (10-3 seeding, 9-1 region) first, Saint David (9-6, 8-1) second, Duncan (10-7, 5-4) third, Baboquivari (5-7, 4-6) fourth, Fort Thomas (5-7, 2-7) fifth, and Patagonia (1-14, 0-9) sixth.

The state rankings for South Region members as of noon on April 25 had Valley Union (9-3 seeding, 3.9682 rating) No. 5, Saint David (8-6, 1.9128) No. 7, Duncan (10-5, minus 1.5523) No. 10, Ray (6-8, minus 1.6918) No. 11, Baboquivari (4-7, minus 6.6447) No. 15, Fort Thomas (5-7, minus 6.8872) No. 16, and Patagonia (1-12, minus 13.3688) No. 21.

No. 7 Saint David Tigers (9-6 seeding)

The Ron Goodman-coached 1A South Region Saint David Tigers (9-6 seeding, 8-1 region) are averaging a 10-6 (144-94) score per game or a 4-run margin through 15 seeding games.
