I recently attended the Sun Pumps School and was very impressed. The staff are all very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They worked hard to provide us with useful information and answered all our questions. I work for a ranching operation with over 200 water wells and I will always go to Sun Pumps with my business. They make sure that the customer is getting the exact product they need for their specific application.

Since the early days of The Whole Earth Catalog, Sun Pumps has been a leader in photovoltaic water pumping. Their deep well submersible pumps are the state of the art. Thanks folks for staying with it.
UPDATE: Still legendary and keepin' the H2O pumping from their high-quality pumps that use sun powered photovoltaics.

When I had an issue with my controller I contacted Sun pumps. They answered the phone, connected me with a tech who helped guide me through possible fixes. I ended up shipping the unit back, was repaired and back up and running. Sun pumps tech support and attention to customer issues was really impressive. Thank you👍

I up graded to a five star. 2021. That little pump is still in the well without a single problem. Since 2012, 9 yrs!!! Too Cool!
Older Post: We have a well for the main house. It is used only for the main house. No arrogation loads. We used the SDS-T-128 well pump. It pumps 175ft with no problem. For power we use two 30volt solar panels supplied by the company, WITH NO BATTERIES! As long as the sun is up, it pumps on demand. We fill a 500gal tank in 6hrs. Ok now for the problems. The splice kit supplied to connect the wires to the pump failed within a year. Water got to the connections and rotted them out. Pulling that little pump up 175ft is hell. We bought new water proof connection kits from True Value, We also had a problem with the order. They sent the wrong connectors with the solar panels. They did however, get us the right ones in a couple days. The more check valves the better. We put one at 100ft. if I was to do it again, I think, every 75ft or 50ft would be better. The pump doesn't have to work so hard at start-up. Its been pumping water since August 2012. It is December 2014 now. Update, it is now Aug 2018, still working great. No problems.
