I decided to go to Los Jilbertos today because we were eating the same food like everyday and wanted something different. When I went inside the atmosphere was clean! The service was friendly and the food was delicious I chose the Super-fry because it's a fan favorite of me and my dad. I added red sauce and green sauce but it is still one of my defeated meals and when I say that I mean like I can't finish it so it was a challenge but still tasty and spicy! Overall 10/10

Best restaurant breakfast burrito I have ever had. And I’m an old lady in New Mexico. They didn’t blink when I asked that they leave out the potatoes and add extra cheese. I’m not a fan of flour tortillas but this one looked freshly made, thin and flaky. Delicious. It was huge and contained a generous serving of cheese which most places skimp on. The eggs and other ingredients were cooked perfectly. I was just driving through Safford and was hungry so wanted something that I could easily eat while driving. Now I’m looking forward to driving through Safford again sometime soon so I can try something else there. Also, the service was friendly and fast. Casual atmosphere.

I've eaten here my entire life so far...the food used to be great! Great portions and amazing flavor and fantastic service 24/7 restaurant, but over the years I've seen it go down hill especially after the make believe pandemic "covid". Prices skyline rocketed, the food portions are skimpy and taste is over cooked left over tasting now. And a new crew running it so the service isnt as fun and energetic anymore, in the cashiers and cooks. Family owned but there is another jilbertos in Utah that remind me of what this used to be, fatty tasty plates with reasonable price( cheaper by 50% as here. )
Its sad to witness first hand as a life long resident to see what happened here, 😕. I hope one day it'll be as good as it once was but closes I or anyone can get are certain days on a night shift crew.

I was looking for some authentic tacos when I was on my travels through Safford. Found this place with good reviews and a really friendly staff. Wow, I was blown away with the flavors and value. Tried the "beef head" tacos, pork, chicken and shrimp etc. Shrimp weren't my flavor for the day, but those beef head tacos were amazing. Atmosphere isn't exactly a "I want to bring my family to dine in" type, but worked for me on the road.

Who knew that a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in Safford has one of the best chimichangas in the Southwest?
Safe to say, I was pleasantly surprised by Los Jilbertos, and their chimichanga scores a high 11 points on the 13 point universal scale of chimichanga deliciousness. The tortilla was excellent and perfectly fried. The beans are on the runny side, which is way better than that dry, caked mess you get at a lot of places. The cheese to beans ratio in the chimi was perfect. The lettuce and pico and guac were all fresh and delicious, and their green salsa was perfect.
And on top of it all, the customer service and speed of service were phenomenal. Way to go, y’all. Five stars ALL DAY, for the food. Sometimes they mess up your order, and their communication in the kitchen could use improving. Just check your food before you go and you’ll be fine.
