Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Definitely not a 5 star luxury resort, but it wasn’t advertised as one. the hot springs were so relaxing and probably gave me the deepest sleep I’ve had in a very long time. It was a lot cleaner than I was expecting based on previous reviews. No “weird” smells or cat poop around. The bed was just the correct amount of firmness for me. After relaxing all day in the hot springs I fell asleep and actually slept all night long. The rooms have a window unit to keep you cool and a mini fridge and microwave in them. The community kitchen is pretty big and had any type of kitchen gadget I would need to cook with. It’s outside of town so no light pollution to be seen at night but also close enough that you can go enjoy a restaurant for dinner if you don’t feel like cooking. We definitely will be back if ever in this area again. The other guests were very friendly and always said hi we stayed in cabin 16, they had other cabins with more beds or the hostel type room where you pay for a bed with other campers. I love the vibe of this place and really enjoyed our stay. They even have a cute gift shop on site with lots of different crystals, oils, jewelry, and other miscellaneous stuff. The owner was super nice and spent a lot of time talking to us while we were there.
When we got there the lady in front was nice. My husband and i stayed for 2 nights. The hot tubs are private but can't be used from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. They are reserved for the people not staying there. The place is extremely dirty. Yes its part of its charm. But up close you can see its not appealing. The hot tubs are just "okay." They are used for sexual intercourse. And not cleaned. In a couple of them we found floating human white stuff.... After we wanted to take a shower. The water smelled soo bad, like dead fish. We couldnt shower because the water was slimy and the of course the smell. The room was old. Not kept up and not finished. Spiders and bugs came down from over top my head as me and my husband were laying there. We moved the bed around to get some peace. SPIDERS!!!!!! EVERYWHERE!!!!!! 2 black ones in my bed. Spiders and dirty in the common room. Spiders in the bathrooms.. there are 3. And a huge spider was coming up to our room. My nerves were already hightened. So luckily I was able to spot it. The only good thing that came out of this experience was I was with my husband in a far off place. ♡ We had no phones so I wasn't able to get other pictures. The only pic I got was the one because I wanted to see what was coming our way. We both agree that next time were going to the beach.
We had a great day in Tranquility hot spring. We enjoyed in the hot tub and my husband and my son had very good massage. The place is very nice, clean, and comfortable. Thank you Clarisse for wonderful day. We definitely will come again.
I had a 2 hour private soak. The water was perfect temperature. I love how the pool is deep enough to dunk all the way down. It’s great that there’s a cool shower right next to the tub. The ambiance is perfect, and I can’t wait to come back again.
I have been going to Essence Of Tranquility for about 9 or 10 years now with friends and my 82 year old mother who really enjoys the hot tubs. This magical place is amazingly relaxing, it's homey and simple with a lot of arts and crafts work everywhere. You can tell it was done with a lot of love in every little detail. On this visit I asked Clarisse if I could get a chair to set outside our room. I was pleasantly surprised when in a very short time her son Michael delivered new wooden chairs and placed them where we liked to sit and enjoy the natural surroundings. Thank you Clarisse for keeping this place going for so many years. We all need somewhere we can escape from our every day life to rejuvenate our mind, body, and soul.
