SAFFORD —Busy commuters have three convenient chances to receive the imposition of ashes Wednesday morning.
Drive-through Ash Wednesday imposition of ashes will be offered 7-10 a.m. at the corner of 10th Avenue and 8th Street, across from Walmart, and from 8-10 a.m. outside of First United Methodist Church at the corner of 10th Avenue and 10th Street in Safford.
A third offering of the imposition of ashes will take place outside First United Methodist Church from 4-6 p.m.
The drive-through imposition of ashes was implemented by the Gila Valley Ministerial Association, a multi-denominational group dedicated to the betterment of the community.
