The Arizona Community Foundation congratulates Amber Ramirez, J.D., CAP on her recent promotion to Vice President, Development.

Ramirez joined ACF in July 2022 as a Senior Philanthropic Advisor and has continually played a key role in the attraction, retention, and engagement of new and existing donors. Her leadership has resulted in the achievement of fundraising goals that have contributed to the growth of ACF’s assets under management, currently $1.4 billion, which contributes to ACF’s grantmaking and scholarship awards across the state.

In addition to the growth of new donors and assets, Ramirez took on additional responsibilities and was appointed Senior Director, Development in 2024, assuming the management, engagement, and professional development of the full Development team.

Her team leadership in partnership with the Donor Experience team resulted in one of the highest levels of new gifts ever recorded for ACF, $135 million toward the annual goal of $91.5 million.

“It is an honor to work and serve an organization like the Arizona Community Foundation that takes great joy in aligning Arizonans with the many deserving nonprofits across our state, country, and international landscape. We know there is much need, and through the generosity of our donors and supporters, coupled with ACF’s relationships and expertise, our team makes impactful philanthropy possible,” said Ramirez.

Prior to joining ACF, Ramirez spent seven years at Desert Botanical Garden in positions of increasing responsibility, the last being Senior Director of Philanthropy, and worked six years as a practicing attorney in Arizona and California specializing in estate planning before beginning her career in the nonprofit sector. Ramirez graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning, earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, and received her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College of Financial Services. Ramirez is a resident of Gilbert along with her husband and twin girls.
