TUCSON, AZ – The Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Arizona Water Summit, a statewide conversation dedicated to one of Arizona’s most important and defining issues: the future of water. The event will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand Challenges Research Building on the University of Arizona campus, located at 750 N. Cherry Ave., Tucson, AZ. The Summit is designed as a collaborative roundtable discussion rather than a traditional conference and will bring together elected leaders from multiple levels of government, including United States Senator Ruben Gallego, United States Representative Adelita Grijalva, Pima County Supervisor Jennifer Allen, City of Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, and Director of the Arizona Department of Water Resources, Tom Buschatzke. The discussion will focus on long-term stewardship, responsible economic growth, innovation, infrastructure, agriculture, housing, emerging industries, and the partnerships needed to ensure Arizona remains resilient for generations to come. Topics will include the future of the Colorado River, responsible land use, water infrastructure, conservation, technological innovation, agriculture, housing, advanced manufacturing, data centers, and the importance of collaboration among cities, counties, the state, Tribal Nations, neighboring states, and the federal government. The Summit is intended for business leaders, policymakers, developers, educators, engineers, agricultural leaders, students, and residents interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the issues shaping Arizona’s future.
