SAFFORD, Ariz. (July 4, 2026) — The City of Safford, in partnership with Nana’s Kitchenette, is celebrating America’s 250th birthday by offering free hot dogs to children as part of the Gila Valley 250 Fourth of July festivities. The event will take place on Saturday, July 4, at 12:30 p.m. at the Firth Park Picnic Area, next to the Skate Park in Safford, Arizona. The first 100 children to arrive will receive a free hot dog, chips, and a drink, with one serving per child, available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. This community lunch aims to bring families together for a fun and festive Independence Day celebration with a classic summertime meal.
