SAFFORD, Ariz. (June 26, 2026) — The Federal Bureau of Prisons will host a recruiting event at FCI Safford on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1051 W. Thatcher Blvd., Safford, AZ 85546.

This hiring event offers an opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career with the Bureau of Prisons to learn more about the work that goes beyond the uniform. The Bureau is recruiting for 30 Correctional Officer positions, with a starting salary range of $51,632 to $61,257 (GL-05/08), plus a 15% hiring bonus ranging from $7,744.80 to $9,188.55, depending on experience.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to bring two forms of identification (at least one photo ID), a federal resume, college or university transcripts if applicable, and veterans may bring a Member 4 copy of their DD214 and/or SF-15 application for 10-point preference and VA rating decision letter if applicable.
