Graham County Chamber of Commerce
SAFFORD, Ariz. — The Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Region 3, serving Graham and Greenlee counties, will host its May Mixer on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Graham County Services Building in Safford.
The networking event is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 921 W. Thatcher Blvd., Safford, AZ 85546, and will feature Graham County Superior Court Judge Michael D. Peterson as the guest speaker.
According to event organizers, the mixer is intended to bring together business leaders, chamber representatives and community members from across Cochise, Graham and Greenlee counties to strengthen regional connections and encourage collaboration.
Judge Peterson currently serves as a Superior Court judge in Graham County and has been involved in Arizona’s judicial system for more than two decades. Organizers noted that Peterson was appointed Presiding Judge of the Graham County Superior Court by former Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey in September 2015 and was later elected and re-elected to the position.
Peterson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Utah and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University Law School. Before joining the bench, he practiced law in Graham and Greenlee counties from 1999 to 2015, focusing on mediation, family law, criminal law and civil matters.
In addition to his judicial duties, Peterson serves on several statewide Arizona Supreme Court committees and judicial councils. Organizers also highlighted his longtime involvement in youth athletics and noted that he is a cancer survivor.
The Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce extended a special invitation to chamber leaders and representatives throughout the region to attend the mixer.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP to Regional Director Edmund Lopez by texting 928-651-6346 or emailing edmund@soazhcc.org.
