As part of our FY24–25 accomplishments, the City of Safford Water Division completed more than 3,500 feet of new 12-inch waterline along 8th Street. This project strengthens system redundancy, increases reliability, and improves long-term service for our community.

The Water Division also completed major upgrades that support the future of water delivery in our community, including:
• Completion of transporting treatment skid and construction of metal building to house system. Installation of transmission/distribution mains and ready for pressure testing.
• Construction of a dedicated materials yard to improve efficiency for backfill material.
• Tracking and completing 646 work orders, including 450 closures and 148 new meter installations.

These improvements reflect our commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and resilient water infrastructure as Safford continues to grow.
