Tis the season… for pumpkin spice… and cotton! As a reminder, large agricultural vehicles are back on our roadways!

You’ll likely encounter slow-moving equipment – tractors, wagons and support equipment sharing our public roads. Slow down when you approach farm equipment. The speed difference can be huge!

Keep a safe distance behind equipment and only pass when it is legal and safe to do so.

Watch for equipment signaling a turn or to pull-over. Because of their size, agricultural machines need extra room to maneuver.

Be patient. A few extra minutes are not worth risking someone’s life.

As the harvest gears up and the big machines are out on the roads, let’s show respect and care for one another. Our shared roadways serve us all, drivers, farmers, residents.

For more information about safe driving during harvest, please contact the City of Safford at (928) 432-4000 or visit www.cityofsafford.us
