Top reasons to move to Arizona

Arizona is the sixth-largest state in the United States, forming part of the Four Corners region with Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. It’s well known for its desert climate, mountain ranges, deep canyons, and diverse population. 

If you’ve been considering moving somewhere exciting with much to offer the average adventurer, Arizona can rank highly on the list. However, if you’re not yet convinced that this southwestern state is right for you, here are a number of standout reasons why it might be. 

Plenty of natural attractions

Arizona might pique your interest if you love getting out in nature and exploring everything it has to offer. While you might be sweltering during the summer months, Arizona is not typically a state that will see you huddled up by the fireplace when the mercury plummets.

The majority of Americans navigate their local towns and cities by car, and the same goes for Arizona. However, if you plan to move from busy cities like Boston and New York, you might be surprised by how easy it can be to navigate Arizona. 

Whether you travel by car or bike, you’ll enjoy the grid-like layout of larger Arizona cities, not to mention the higher speed limits and well-maintained roads. Commuting to work or school might be a far easier process than you expected. 

Diversity

The diversity in Arizona is worth celebrating. There is a significant Hispanic population, and Apaches and Navajo comprise most of the Native American population. As a result of such diversity, you can enjoy a broad range of cultural activities. Some towns and cities are also more diverse than others, with Holbrook, Winslow, Glendale, and Phoenix believed to be among the most diverse places to live in Arizona. 

Affordability

No states have managed to avoid being affected by the cost of living crisis, but Arizona continues to be described as a state with a reasonably low cost of living, especially compared to neighboring states. While you might pay an average of $538,500 for a home in California, prices are much more affordable in Arizona, with a median home value of $242,000. 

Moving to a new state is a significant decision to make, but it’s hard for your attention not to be drawn to Arizona. From its warm weather and diversity to its beautiful natural attractions and affordability, now might be the right time to consider a move to this desirable southwestern state.
