With the warmer days rolling in, it’s the perfect time to give your property a little TLC! The City of Safford would like to remind residents about City Code Sec. 17.12.055 – Accumulation of Junk and Debris in Residential Zones.

🚫 What’s not allowed:
Junk, debris, weeds, untrimmed grass, or the buildup of items like inoperable or unlicensed vehicles, parts, or building materials in open view.

✅ What is allowed (with conditions):
We understand that homes need a little extra space sometimes! Limited outdoor storage is allowed if:
• It stays within the allowed square footage
• It’s kept in the rear half of your property
• It does not interfere with setbacks
• Screening (like a fence or wall) may be required to keep things looking neat
