What initially attracted you to the City of Safford and what motivates you to continue working here?
Working for the City of Safford allows me to contribute to my community, by being part of the team as an employee of the Sanitation department, but also as a member of the City of Safford Planning and Zoning Commission.

What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is helping to keep the City of Safford looking clean by doing my trash collection route. I also appreciate the working relationships we have in our organization, including the office staff, mechanic shop and landfill who help keep our department running.

What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now?
The most interesting thing I am working on right now is learning the collection routes and their changes as new homes and businesses come to town.

How do you approach challenges in your role, and what strategies do you use to overcome them?
The biggest challenge we have in our department is on holiday weeks when the collection routes are doubled on certain days. We all work as a team to stay focused and get our job done.
