Sometimes the Best Projects Are the “Boring” Ones

At the December 15, 2025, Town of Thatcher council meeting, Town Manager Brown asked the Council for approval to move forward with a project to replace overhead electric poles and wires with underground facilities in front of the U-Haul Storage Facility along USHWY70. Not flashy. Not headline-grabbing. But it is incredibly important.

While in attendance, the City of Safford offered assistance to help make the project happen. Fast forward to today, and that same project has now been implemented, and the City of Safford Gas Division has completed the underground conduit bore for the new electric facilities.

This is what collaboration looks like. Two communities working together to solve problems, improve infrastructure, and do what’s best for our shared residents, even when the work is a little “boring.”

Because sometimes boring gets the job done, and done right.
