What initially attracted you to the City of Safford and what motivates you to continue working here?
The City of Safford was an attractive destination due to its variety of projects. I get to work on utility projects one day and then golf course projects the next. Every day is different, and I get to learn new things from a group of people who have a vast array of talents and knowledge.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to have a hand in the improvements throughout the City. Being able to see a project come to life from design through construction brings a lot of satisfaction and pride.
What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now?
The most interesting thing I’m working on currently is our upcoming Mayor Kouts Park. The park will have a lot of amenities that will be new to the City, and it will be a facility that our community can get excited about. We have wrapped up the design process with our consultant and I’m very excited to see it take shape next year.
How do you approach challenges in your role, and what strategies do you use to overcome them?
Engineering is all about solving problems. It takes a team that is willing to communicate with each other and often times think outside the box.
Thank you, Jace, for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the City of Safford!
