Posting signs on utility poles may seem harmless, but it actually creates serious safety risks for the line workers who maintain our power system.

📌 Nails, staples, tacks, and screws used to attach signs can injure utility workers climbing the poles, especially during storms or nighttime repairs. Even small punctures can damage protective gloves and increase the risk of electrical shock.

🧰 Leftover fasteners also interfere with climbing equipment and can cause slips, cuts, or falls.

🚫 Please do not post signs for lost pets, garage sales, or community events on utility poles. Let’s keep our utility crews safe while they work hard to keep the lights on!
