🇺🇸✨ What an Incredible Weekend in Safford! ✨🇺🇸
We had a wonderful time celebrating our veterans and our community with a full weekend of events! The excitement started with a fantastic airshow, followed by a patriotic Veterans Day Parade that filled our streets with gratitude and pride for all who have served. 🇺🇸

Assistant City Manager Eric Bejarano shared inspiring words as the guest speaker, while our Special Events Liaison, Mick Ruiz, spoke at Eastern Arizona College’s Veterans Recognition Event. Eric also attended Pima High School’s Veterans Event, showing support for our veterans and their families across the community.

The weekend concluded on a meaningful note last night as we welcomed Chairman Terry Rambler of the San Carlos Apache Tribe to our City Council meeting. Chairman Rambler, along with other honored guests, delivered a moving invocation. In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, Safford proudly presented Chairman Rambler with a proclamation honoring the heritage and cultural contributions of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and indigenous communities everywhere. 🌄❤️

Safford is truly a great place to live, work, and visit, and we’re excited to keep growing together as a community! Let’s continue to celebrate and thank our veterans and honor our rich cultural heritage all year long.
